Bus Trip to Washington, D.C.
Many churches and pro-life groups throughout northeast Ohio sponsor trips to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. to join up with tens of thousands of other groups from across our country to peacefully march in protest against legalized abortion. Since the anniversary of the landmark Roe vs. Wade abortion decision falls on a weekend, the actual March For Life will take place on Monday the 24th so that lawmakers and legislators will be able to witness this powerful and peaceful protest.
Life Education Fund and Right to Life of Northeast Ohio organizes an educational trip for The Pro Life Youth Congress, area students or members whose own church or school is not participating in the March. The trip leaves on Saturday morning, January 21, and returns late Monday night, January 23. During the first two days in Washington, there will be educational activities and meetings planned with other groups to become more informed about many things such as legislative activities, pro-life programs and more. On the day of the march, there will be opportunities to meet and lobby with Ohio lawmakers. Cost for the trip is $225, and includes transportation, lodging and breakfast each day, registration fees for the "Students For Life" conference and all meals on Sunday. Students are organized into small groups with an adult chaperone in each group at all times. Adult chaperones may be eligible for a reduced rate. All adult chaperones are required to be compliant with the Life Education Fund Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth, and must fill out an "Application To Work With Youth" form in accordance with this policy.
Registration deadline for this trip is October 15, 2011
Balance of $175 must be paid by December 15, 2011
Pro Life Youth Congress members are encouraged to work throughout the summer and fall to raise funds for this very educational and fun trip.
